Story
A family is invited to spend an entire weekend in a remote house in the countryside, but as the weekend progresses, they realize that there is a dark side to the family that invited them. James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis share the elements of their characters that they found most intriguing and complement each other by discussing their different approaches to the craft. The story is inspired by the experiences of Christian Tafdrup, director of the original Danish film Speak No Evil (2022), who befriended a Dutch couple while on holiday in Tuscany with his wife. Although the Dutch were a little socially awkward, the two couples got on very well and after returning home, Tafdrup received an invitation from the Dutch family to come to the Netherlands. He briefly considered it, but decided that it would feel strange staying with people he didn’t really know; His story for the film came about when he indulged in his darkest fantasies about what might have happened if he had accepted (while claiming that the original Dutch couple had never given off bad vibes). In the bathroom, while washing his eyes, he has a subconjunctival haemorrhage in his left eye, in the next scene his eyes are perfectly clean.

No pun intended: if you’ve seen the European original (which you’re not even two years old), you get what I’m trying to convey. Watching this, it probably makes sense why you wouldn’t have seen it, you’d think! However, watching this (and it seems to mostly stick to the template), this movie seems to be trying to “fix” the mistakes.

Things that some people didn’t like about the original… your child is one of those things… illness can be hard to deal with… your situation is making you lose your passion… or could make you lose it. Not here – and that elevates the movie.
he’s really the heart of the movie
His performance is both subtle and cool. I don’t remember every little aspect of the original and I don’t want to offend the original actors… so let’s just say he’s amazing in this one. The acting and writing in general work very well, with a few twists thrown in… although the adjustments may not seem like much at first… but in the end (literally) you get something different…

for better or for worse! I like it – 1) because it’s different from the original and 2) because it’s more suited to the movie and the characters it features. I was skeptical, but this one is just as good as the original… Don’t throw stones at me… The final season of “What We Do in the Shadows” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
